The senior engineer is tasked with testing and certifying defense in depth for the First Horizon National Corporation computing environment. The senior engineer will employ expert technical security skills to penetration test key infrastructure security systems, provide expertise on escalated security alerts, create strategy for reduction of enterprise risk, and provide expert security consultation for the business.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The senior engineer’s role will be to test, lead, create strategy, provide oversight, and solidify First Horizon National Corporation’s security stance.
The senior security engineer will have, but is not limited to, the following roles and responsibilities:
• Serves as an expert for enterprise security
• Expert penetration tester
• Expert in vulnerability assessment
• Provide strategy for firewalls, perimeter security, and network security
• Ultimate escalation point for IDS and IPS systems / alerts
• Create strategy for remediation of enterprise vulnerabilities and systems development
• Provide expertise and project/strategy for e-fraud
• Expert in database security
• Research current security industry trends and security issues, create projects and strategy to implement them into Western Union infrastructure
• Research of next generation security issues, 0-day attacks, and create strategy for future security infrastructure and tools
Requirements • BS degree in computer information systems or 10+ years of information security experience
• Industry standard certifications a plus: SANS (GCFW, GCIH, GPEN, GCIA, GCFA), SANS Gold a plus, CISSP, Microsoft (MCSE+security), Cisco

Skills and Qualifications:
• Expert in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment

• Expert with all versions of Microsoft Windows
• Expert with Active Directory and LDAP
• Expert with the linux operating system
• Expert in TCP/IP, reading network packets, network technologies, and perimeter protection technology
• Configuration experience with Cisco hardware and IOS
• Expert in firewall technology, IDS/IPS technology
• Expert skills in web technologies (scripting, SSL, HTTP/S)
• Expert SQL query and database manipulation
• Expert with incident response, forensics and evidence preservation
• Can program in multiple languages / scripting languages
• Experience in leading a diverse project team that implements network and system security solutions
• Mentoring and teaching engineers / analysts
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to communicate technical security requirements to business units and leadership, create strategy, and implement security plans

Hours: 8am - 5pm
