          Jacobs PROJECT COORDINATOR in Memphis Tennessee United States

          PROJECT COORDINATOR
          This position requires managing multiple minor capital projects at a chemical production site and execution of the projects from start to finish. The project process is highly structured with well established procedures. Responsibilities include prioritizing future projects, planning projects consistent with local client requirements and capital budgets, processing basic data provided by the client, obtaining authorization for project engineering, coordinating design work, preparing scopes of work, providing information for cost estimates, holding review meetings, requesting capital authorizations, milestone scheduling, managing preparation of construction packages, controlling costs and schedule, and meeting safety, quality, and technical standards. The position also requires planning and management of infrastructure projects that originate from assessments primarily from experts in civil structural inspections. Developing and updating a five-year plan for infrastructure projects and presenting plans to management are essential. The successful candidate will have project management experience, procurement, construction overview, cost/schedule control, and reporting. A minimum of 5 years experience executing projects is required with preference for experience at chemical plants or hydrocarbon facilities. A Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline is required. Effective communication skills both verbal and written are required. Experience and skill using MS Office products are essential
