Sales Consultants counsel customers on Travelers Personal Insurance products. You will be expected to establish a rapport with each customer, gather all necessary information to determine the best products for their needs, and sell the customer on Travelers value. Position requires selected employee to quickly develop thorough knowledge of Travelers products and underwriting guidelines to evaluate and properly price customer risks. Qualified candidates must have the ability to obtain a property and casualty license during training. We will train you and pay for your licenses!
Daily requirements include:
- Handle inbound and outbound sales calls with consistent professionalism
- Use strong listening skills to identify customer needs
- Develop underwriting exposures, make pricing decisions or recommendations to Underwriter
- Respond to objections professionally, emphasizing relevant product features and value
- Achieve/maintain/improve minimum quality and underwriting benchmarks
- Solution-oriented attitude with willingness to be coached to improve performance
- Represent Travelers in a positive manner at all times
Qualified candidates:
- Two years of sales, customer service or call center experience preferred
- Solid math and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer/keyboard proficiency
- Ability to multitask and make smart decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work different schedules, including rotating weekends
Compensation: Base salary starting at $30K, plus monthly incentive upon completion of training/licensing. Top performers can make $55K+!
