          Job Purpose:

          The Interactive Designer (Junior) is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day creative of all the company’s interactive projects (including web pages, banner ads, and email campaigns). This individual will leverage corporate brand standards, creative direction, as well as knowledge of usability and online design best practices to create engaging online experiences that will support merchandising and marketing initiatives.

          Primary Duties:


          • Design and develop engaging marketing material for tractorsupply.com in a wide variety of different formats, including: web pages, email blasts, banner ads for external sites, internal landing pages, website UI modifications, on-site advertisements, online applications, and any other assigned media

          • Maintain and execute changes to existing creative collateral

          • Adhere to current industry best practices and SEO friendly design techniques

          • Create site maps, wireframe and UI mockups of design concepts

          • Coordinate with marketing to make sure that corporate brand standards are upheld, ensuring that creative is harmonious and supportive of other company communication efforts

          • Coordinate with merchandising on creative execution of strategic initiatives

          • Choose photography (lifestyle and product) based on need

          • Create copy (headlines, product features/benefits, value proposition statements) when needed for a variety of purposes

          • Maintain knowledge of leading and latest web technologies

          • Analyzes current technological and demographic factors of site visitors to best optimize experience

          • Develop web pages, emails, etc. using HTML/CSS and/or Flash

          • Utilize analytics for continued usability and design improvements
            Secondary Duties:


          • May perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
            Requirements:
            Education and Experience:


          Education from an accredited college or university. Minimum 3 years experience designing for web. Ecommerce/retail experience encouraged. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

          Essential Skills:


          • Creativity

          • Understanding of simple and smart information architecture

          • Strategic thinking and sound judgment

          • Ability to organize and deliver design elements for large scope web projects as requested and / or directed by supervisors.

          • Basic understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, technology, and procedures within the field of web design, including usability and accessibility standards, user interface design, and basic white hat SEO practices

          • Detail-oriented approach to work

          • Strong problem solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills

          • Ability to work independently, be dependable, positively handle conflict, and work in a fast paced environment.

          • Ability to follow creative direction.

          • Proficient in the following applications for PC and Mac: Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; proficient with HTML/CSS    
            Working Conditions:

          Individuals in this position will encounter ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment as found in any typical office environment. Individuals may need to sit at a desk or table for long periods of time; to speak clearly and carefully listen to customers; to reach over shoulder heights; crouch or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; and lifting as required to file documents or store materials during the workday.
